Within the partner marketing space we saw some hugely exciting news. Acceleration Partners (AP), the leading global partnership agency, announced the company’s current President, Matthew Wool has been named the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Founder Robert Glazer, who has served as the CEO of the organisation since its inception, has stepped down, transitioning to the role of Chairman of the Board, where he will continue to play a vital role in leading the company’s strategic direction, leading M&A, and supporting product and service development, and leadership development programmes.
Sarah Beeskow Blay, Vice President North America at Silverbean, has been elected to the Performance Marketing Association board of directors. The PMA is a trade association representing the performance marketing industry, and Sarah’s expertise will be of paramount importance in the board’s shaping of the channel as it sets standards and initiates important discussion.
Leeds-based performance marketing agency Journey Further has announced the appointment of Debbie Capell as Chief Operating Officer. Debbie will be responsible for leading the agency’s operations in the UK and US to deliver against the company’s ambitious five-year growth plans. She will be joining the executive board to develop the agency’s operations vision and will be working closely with the senior team to build a world-class training and people function.
Refersion, another leading performance marketing platform, also announced the launch of Refersion Pay, a first of its kind payment and tax solution for influencer and affiliate marketing programmes. In 2020, affiliate marketing spending topped $6 billion in the USA alone. As this number continues to grow, so has the discomfort for brands attempting to manage their own affiliate payments and tax compliance.
In the digital marketing space, Landor & Fitch, the global brand transformation company, has announced the appointment of Jane Bloomfield as Global Chief Marketing Officer.
Jane will be responsible for developing innovative new business, marketing and communication strategies across the Landor & Fitch group. She will act as a strategic lead for business development teams, with an overall focus to drive new business opportunities as Landor & Fitch continues to expand both its offer and its geographical reach.
December has also brought an exciting partnership. Integral Ad Science (IAS), a global leader in digital media quality, announced an advanced integration with Mediaocean, providing a new level of automated campaign management. Initially available to select advertisers, this enhanced integration will launch globally in early 2022.
